11 years of Companionship
Tanner has been a God send in many ways. Not only in companionship, and the show ring, but as a foundation dog. He has made so many, not only beautiful, but intelligent and versatile Dalmatians. He may not have the most titles, or be ranked #1 , or even have the best features, but no dog can match my Tanner, he will forever be my heart dog, my best man, my true start in the breed. Without him this venture would not have been possible, and for that I am thankful to the lady who trusted me with him, Chrissy Geisle .
Tanner passed away very unexpectedly, and I am still figuring out how to live without my best friend by my side. One day his memory will serve as a reminder of the good times, for now its serving as a painful reality that he is longer here.
Where It's Going
My daughters are now becoming increasingly more interested in where I have been going on the weekends, and have learned they can do it too! The dog show legacy has taken hold of them and I have high hopes that it will continue with them!
They were able to show Maisy and Laney at a UKC show in April 2021, and they loved it!
About Me
My name is Katelyn Bishop, I grew up training and showing dogs from the age of 7. Showing is my passion and falling in love with the Dalmatian breed was a result. I have had many ventures in the dog world from professionally handling show dogs, grooming, training, and now a breeding program all my own. I have learned so much over the years and it has given a me a wonderful knowledge base to be able to help others not only in training, but in finding their perfect dog, and also living with that dog.
I started my breeding program in 2015 by studding out Tanner, and he produced a lovely litter, and then along came my Cashmir who produced three litters, totaling 24 pups in all. Levi and Paisley are a result, and I'm happy to be moving forward with them as my current breeding dogs.
My journey is only beginning, and I am looking forward to what the future holds, and where the Lord takes me on this ride. I have accomplished a lot in a short time, so I cannot wait to see where this program goes!
A few of my most memorable achievements include(but certainly not limited to):
-
Ranking my Harrier Dale in the Top 5 and being invited to the 2011 Westminster where we garnered an Award of Merit.
-
Finishing my first show dog, and show Dalmatian who also happens to be my foundation stud dog Tanner, with four majors
-
Showing my first client Cane Corso Lamborghini, at our first show earning a Group 3&4 from the classes, proceeding to earn her championship in only 5 shows, finishing at the AKC National Championship
-
Earning a Best in Show Specialty with Apollo(Cane Corso) from the classes at his first show.
-
Winning 3 Reserve Best In Shows with my homebred girl Paisley
All these great things have continued to build me up and push me toward bigger goals I dream of accomplishing. I am thankful for everyone who supports me and for God who has given me a talent I love and cherish.
